Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930's, by-yard pieces derived from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.
Fabric Description: Very unusual designed Japanese vintage lightweight silk kimono fabric used to make woman's kimono; fabric patterns on one side only are flowers and leaves on a chocolate(with hint of burgundy) background, designs are in a sort of dark pink; Fabric is a lightly textured crepe (chirimen).
