Item Details and Description

Fabric Description: 1940-50's Japanese vintage muslin wool kimono fabric originally intended for making woman's under-kimono; deadstock (old but never used, taken from a roll). Single piece.

Fabric Type: Lightweight muslin wool, slight drape; Japanese wool is smoother and tighter weave than many Western worsted types of wool. (Interesting discussion of the term worsted wool is here.).
Motifs: This is a common classic traditional Japanese motif using an abundance of various sized chrysanthemum blossoms and decorated fans with ribbons and other blossoms; Same on both sides.

Condition: Excellent.

Suitable for framing, making scarf or accessory. Only one left.
