Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's kimono silk pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono silk; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used)
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make everyday women's kimono; fine lined fishnet diamond shapes layout on bacground which is off-white, light cream; the grid diamonds are one inch / 2.54 cm at longest -- tiny squares about 1/4 inch (6.35 mm).
Fabric Type: Lightweight silk, designs on one side; smooth to touch; note diagonal thatched patterns in light cream color interwoven in background; fabric has slight sheen and drape.
