Fabric History/Pedigree: 1950's meisen silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner / reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.
Fabric Type: Light Weight Meisen silk; due to weave has slightly textured feel, no sheen; same on both sides; Designs mimic brush drawing strokes of diamond shapes and wave lines; background is light peach (touch of pink) with lines in burgundy with some accents in mustard yellow and reds.
