Fabric History/Pedigree: Deadstock roll, never used, from 1950s or earlier; selling by the yard.
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric originally used to make a woman's kimono.
Fabric Type: Fine, light weight silk called kinsha, slightly textured like chirimen, interwoven with designs throughout of flowers; motifs are plum blossoms and pine tree branches; oval shapes with traditional patterns on each; slight drape and some sheen.
Colors: Background is dark blue (hint of colonial blue) ; also there are yellow-copper, dark plu greens and ligbter blues.
Condition: Excellent. for its age.
Recommended for making scarf, clothing accessories.
