Fabric History/Pedigree: 1940's-1950's, pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk of tsumugi (pongee) type kimono fabric used to make various garments ; Entire fabric is interwoven with traditional kasuri-like symmetrical geometric diamond-shapes grid  rendered by the weave and dyeing process; same on both sides. Colors: navy-blue and cream(see close-ups).

Condition note: There is slight discoloration on the end of the fabrics, about 10 inches /25.4 cm from one end.
