Fabric History/Pedigree: 1990's pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono silk; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used);
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric designed for use in making kimono obi (sash); heavy weight fabric with fine metallic threads interwoven throughout; Replete with flowers (mostly chrysanthemums); flower sizes are small ( largest is just under 1 inch (2.4 cm); background color is a sort of dark blue with charcoal tinge; flower motifs are in various browns, silver, metallic gold and silvers plus off-white, light blue and light lavenders.
