Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description:  Lightweight  silk with slight translucent quality; This is an early 1950's piece; resembles meisen in appearance.

Fabric Motif:
  
Traditional Japanese fans with camelia flowers, large scale, similar to meisen type fabrics.

Colors: Background is dark plum with fans in mustard colors; other colors are black and burgundy. 

Condition: Excellent.
