Item Details and Description

This is a distinctive cotton find, a high-quality light-weight deadstock (new but unsold stock) cotton; intended for making a kimono or nagajuban(under-kimono; Estimated from 1960's; double width, sold by yard.

Pedigree: From Kyoto, Gion Matsuri Festival-related fabric;This is what is called deadstock -- new/never used but aged, usually procured from a store, company inventory or recyclers.  This one is 100% lightweight Japanese cotton with print intended for use of one side only, but designs show through to reverse.
