Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner / reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description:  Good quality silk, classic pattern of shibori  made into a grid of tiny squares symmetrically laid out; Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make lady's kimono;  (see close-ups).

Fabric Type: Light-weight silk, same on both sides, nice drape; great for making scarves or clothing accessories.

Measurements: width =14 inches/ 35.56 cm; Length = 64" (1.62 m).

Colors: background is dark plum; patterns (shibori) are off-white. 

Condition: Excellent.
