Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's, pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono silk; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used)
Fabric Description: High-quality silk, Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make lady's higher-end type kimono; interwoven brocade in metallic golds and silvers throughout background and flowers (see close-ups); each piece(38") has 2 bouquets of flowers, each 16 inches (40.64 cm) tall
Fabric Type: medium-weight silk, designs on one side, thicker weave so less drape; suitable for framing.
Measurements: width =14 1/8(.125)inches/ 35.88 cm; Length= 38" (96.52cm).
Colors: background is light pastel pink with various shades of mauve, gray, dark pinks, deep burnished reds, white and gold used for the designs.
Motifs: 2 Large flower bouquets on each piece(38") each 16 inches (40.64 cm) tall.
