Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's, deadstock bolt of Japanese wool; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used)
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage wool-silk-poly kimono fabric, printed on one side in mock-embroidery pixelated geometric designs.
Fabric Type: Light-weight; Japanese wool is smoother and tighter weave than many Western worsted types of wool. (Interesting discussion of the term worsted wool is here.)
Motifs & Colors: Background is mix of burgundy (various shades), aqua-blue black and off-whites. (See close-ups).
