Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's, found as deadstock partial roll silk, never used.
Fabric Description: Light high-quality Japanese kimono silk fabric in gray (hint of silver color) with designs of various coinage from Old Japan (19th century); THis type pattern is often seen on the liner fabrics of high-quality men's haori (kimono jackets); Colors of the coins are variously shaded grays, tarnished gold-brown and black.
Type: Light-weight Japanese silk, nice drape; Largest of the oval-shaped coinage are just under 4 inches (9+cm) and the largest of the round coins are 1.5 inches (under 4cm).
