 5419 Description:

One full roll of excellent quality silk fabric, 40 different patterns of kimono salesperson's sampler roll, patterns numbered; The theme of the roll is Tsubaki (Camellia Japonica), the kanji (Japanese character) shown in the first panel of the roll (see the first picture under the title above);

The panel patterns are 14.5" x 10" (36.8 cm x 25.4 cm) and designs on one side only.

All of these patterns are made using smaller, komon type designs and are created using tiny pixelations (see panels close-ups). We did not include pictures of all 40 panels but each is unique.

An outstanding example of the type of renewed creativity among the traditional Japanese kimono fabric-makers in the Sixties. Designs are traditional, but yet they are quite original, even while holding to classical themes and motifs.

Surely of interest to our Japanophiles designers and textile artists out there.

USA zipcodes shipping included; for international customers we will refund some of the shipping cost (US$10).
