Item Details and Description

Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's silk deadstock never used higher quality Japanese kimono silk.
 Fabric Description: Cascade of flowers with fifteen cranes in flight on silk from 1960s, in excellent condition;  Continuous designs running full length of piece; Pattern of same clusters of flowers and cranes are 19.75 inches (50.2cm) high, repeated. 
Fabric Type: Light-medium weight silk,tightly woven red background with wide variety of pastel colors and some dark colors. Print is on one side but visible on reverse.

Measurements: Width= 28 inches / 71.1cm ; Length= 2 yards (1.83m).

Motifs: Full cascade of flower clusters with traditional fans as background for 15 cranes in flight; Flowers are many types: peonies,cherry blossoms,chrysanthemums and more (see closeups).

Condition: Outstanding for its age, colors still strong, clean,no stains or tears.
