Fabric History/Pedigree: 1970's, pieces derived from used boys ceremonial silk kimono;
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make traditional boys 7-5-3 (shichi-go-san) kimono.
Fabric Type: very light (thin) weight silk.
Measurements: width=14.5 inches / 36.8 cm ; Length= 1 yard (91cm).
- Colors: dark purple background(almost black but not navy blue), various tans and olive-green, black, gold & some purples.
Motifs: Standard traditional Shichi-Go-San designs: Mt. Fuji, hawk (some say it's a Phoenix bird), classic toys and children's decorations, stylized pine tree branches and on hilltops.
- Condition: very small maker's stains along some edges, 99% stain free, but price reduced.
