Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's, pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono silk; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new, but has been in storage, never been used)
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make womans dress kimono; interwoven motifs and gold-metallic accents.
Fabric Type: Light-medium weight silk, slight drape; some areas have crepe textured feel.
Measurements: width=14 inches / 38.1 cm; Length= 1 Yard (.91m).
Colors: red, orange, white and gold metallic accents(see close-ups).
Motifs: Very large chrysanthemums with smaller mums in red on inside; clouds interwoven in red fields; traditional hexagonal shapes in grid array;gold metallic accents throughout fabric.
- NOTE on Motif: Each piece will have a 35 inch repeat of the two flower clusters as shown in first picture.
- Condition: Excellent.
