Item Details and Description:
We are offering this light-weight Japanese fabric by 1.5 yard long pieces; Each piece is 14.25 inches X 1.5 yards (36.2 cm X 1.37m); fabric is mock silk (polyester,new but unsold stock), looks and feels like silk, ro (skipped) stitching, see close-ups; this is estimated from the 1970's; intended for use in making an adult woman's under-kimono (nagajuban) or could be used as liner fabric. Color is soft cream and fabric is slightly translucent. Fabric is clean,found in original wrapping.
Motifs are geometric shapes with traditional motifs within, as well as vertical striping all accomplished by weaving process; shapes are about 3.5 inches / 9cm at longest dimension. See close-ups.
