Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's, pieces derived from deadstock roll of nagajuban (under-kimono) top quality silk; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new, but has been in storage, never been used)
Fabric Description: Higher quality Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make woman's nagajuban (under-kimono).
Fabric Type: Top grade excellent light weight Japanese silk, nice drape.
Measurements: width=14.5 inches/36.8cm; Length= 1 Yard (.91m).
Colors: gradation coloring of light pastel pinks; some flowers have soft accents in blue-green, peach and pink.
Motifs: Interwoven flowers and soft curving lines.
Condition: Excellent, like new.
- Cultural Notes: This is a rare find, entire roll of top-quality silk for making of one womans under-kimono(nagajuban). Close-up shows label, which reads saiko kyu nagajubanji, "Top Quality Nagajuban Fabric"
