Item Details and DescriptionWe are offering this fine silk fabric in minimum 13.75 inches X 1 yard (34.9cm X 91cm) long pieces of deadstock silk (new but unsold stock) estimated from the 1960's-70's; This silk is a light-weight fabric possibly intended to make nagajuban (under-kimono), shuiro (a red with orange tinge, sometimes translated as vermilion) and white [Interesting article on Japanese reds here ]; this is a classic mock-shibori motif made to look like shibori (tie-dyed) fabric with floral groupings.
