- Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930s to 1950s silk fabric pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall, by click-pushing HERE.
- Fabric Description: Meisen silk, lightweight, slightly translucent fabric, solid dark burgundy (with touch of brown) background with rows of small geometric 3/8inch (9.53 mm) square figures which are in even rows' these figures are typically fuzzy-edged, symmetrically placed in even rows; colors used for the figures are off-white, iron-red, and light-mustard; same on both sides; no sheen.
