Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces received from traditional Japanese kimono cleaner/reconstructor called Arai-Hari -- see an excellent explanation of traditional Arai Hari by textile expert John Marshall,by click-pushing HERE.

Fabric Description:  Lightweight fine silk is a 1980's piece originally intended to make a woman's under-kimono (nagajuban); not as thin as most nagajubans we see, definitely higher grade silk; fabric background color is a pale peachy-pink (in lower incandescent light it looks pink); the fabric is fully interwoven with background pinstripes running vertically(lengthwise) with images of classic stylized cloud shapes and flowers; Within the clouds are the tiny shibori dotted-diamonds fields;

About Colors:  Please consider our text color descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric, as colors and contrast differ on different devices.
