Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono silk; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used)
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make women's kimono; fabric is a light-medium weight with a slight sheen; smooth to the touch; some drape; Background is bright shuiro (vermillion) with background interwoven with chrysanthemum lattice designs (see last close-up image to see these); the off-white figures are 3.5 inches (8.89 cm) long and run in parallel rows; designs same on both sides.
