Fabric History/Pedigree: 1970's, Found as roll.
Fabric Description: Deadstock(never used), Japanese vintage kimono fabric.
Fabric Type: Silk,Light- Medium Weight, smooth to touch, slight sheen.
Measurements: width=14.75 inches/37.5cm selvedge to selvedge; Length= 1yard/.91m.
Colors: background is various shades of mustard brown-with hint of gold,with pinstripes in light colonial blue with "squiggly" coils/spirals in colonial blue and off-white; The designs make the colors seem to shift as fabric is moved or from differing angles of lighting. Pictures don't do it justice.
Motifs: Tiny pinstripes run vertically and diamond shapes have tiny grids of squares; overall look of fabric gives a 3-D sense to the diamond shaping.
Notes: Great for scarf makers/designers.
