Fabric History/Pedigree: 1960's, pieces derived from deadstock roll of kimono silk; (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used)
Fabric Description: Japanese vintage silk kimono fabric used to make a woman's everyday kimono; Rather unusual for Japanese fabric, seeming to incorporate more of a Western look, but still has a Japanese aesthetic look.
Fabric Type: Lightweight woven silk, slightly textured with interwoven designs; selvage on each side.
Colors: light tan-orange color background with various flowers arranged in staggered rows and small flowers; note also the interwoven textured designs in the background which seem to be evocative of water or streams' Flowers are are in burgundy red, dark and plain olive-greens.
Condition: Excellent.
