Fabric History/Pedigree: Pieces derived from deadstock 1980's kimono silk roll; This sort of roll is used to make woman's daily wear kimono.

Fabric Description: This is lightweight high-quality Japanese silk; The background is a color called yamabuki, a golden yellow color with a hint of orange; the interwoven design is a classic called asa-no-ha (hemp leaf), a centuries-old geometric design popular in the Edo period and after;  The small hand-tie-dyed shibori squares are in creamy-white, brown, moss-green, and light green; fabric has some sheen and nice drape.
The shibori lines are in "S" shape bands running diagonally; designs are on one side but mostly the same on reverse except for no sheen;  recommended for making scarf/accessories.
Colors: Please use our text descriptions to complement your sense of the colors, as color and contrast vary on different devices.

Condition:
 Excellent.

Orders of more than 1 yard are sent in uncut lengths.
