Fabric History/Pedigree: 1930s-50s pieces derived from deadstock roll of Japanese silk (Deadstock means old inventory which is like new but has been in storage, never been used).

Fabric Description: Higher quality 1930's silk is a lightweight fabric originally used to make woman's kimono; Motifs are on one side (but mostly visible on reverse); background is full of various sized flowers with temari-ball covered in flowers cascading vertically; floral renderings in traditional designs, including blossoms of following types: plum, cherry, peonies, iris, and peach; Background is a dark purple with many-colored flowers using  reds, aquas, blues, yellow, pink and whites; also greens and fuschia; nice drape, good for making scarf, accessories or for textile art.


We think this is even suitable for framing.
