Fabric Description:  Lightweight meisen silk, slightly translucent,  is estimated from the 1930s-1950s; Meisen is defined literally as 'common silk stuff'; and has grown in popularity in the last few years; Meisen from that period are usually larger bold patterns and bright colors, and this one is a checkerboard type array, each square (rectangle actually) is 3.25 inches / 8.26cm X 4.5 inches /  10.75 cm within the borders;  with geometric designs (see close-ups); Background is light-cream color, but the fabric is filled with the motifs & patterns; same on both sides;  Colors: salmon-red, blue, mustard, light moss-greens, beige and black.

Recommended for making scarves or accessories.
