Thanks to all of you who have reached out to us about the flooding in Japan. Just as in last year's earthquake, we are located smack dab in the center of flooded areas of Kyushu(Kumamoto), but somehow managed to escape disaster. It was a very long 48 hours over the weekend. Yoko's family all live near a river, with two of her sisters living behind a levee along the river. All had to evacuate but as of Monday morning (Japan time) it appears that the levee has not broken to affect Yoko's sisters' homes at the levee. Happily, when the sun rose the levee had not been breached and all are safe. We are of course relieved and appreciate everyone's reaching out to us to express concern.
