This is a fine, light weight Japanese silk estimated from the 1980's; This is deadstock, meaning new off the shelves, just older; This type silk was made for use in creating a nicer grade summer woman's silk kimono or liner. While this fabric is light and delicate, it has a nice drape and is still intact and strong, like new; interwoven geometric thatch patterns on both sides, slightly different color on reverse; Color is a very light pastel-lime in slightly shifting gradation shades; the green and white create an appearance of cloud patterns running across the width of the fabric (best captured in first picture above left). Clean and recommended for creative uses in making quilts, scarf, clothing accessory, etc.
