Details about shipping, ordering, quality etc.

This is a rather unusual fabric, a blend of asa (hemp/flax) with cotton; estimated from the 1930's or earlier; A very light weight Japanese country fabric, seldom seen; Indigo and thin white-lined checkerboard design on both sides(see close-ups).

The fabric still has the slightly coarse feel associated with hemp or flax-based textiles (asa) and appears not to have been used, or very little.

Condition: aside from tiny holes in a few places, fabric seems quite strong for such a light fabric.

Of interest to our enthusiasts for Japanese country textiles and perhaps for other creative uses.

We have 2 pieces of this, If ordering both we will discount for combined shipping.
