This is a light weight Japanese silk from the 1980's; Fabric is from full roll of deadstock silk kimono fabric (new, off-shelf, just older); Ivory colored fabric has a slightly lustrous sheen with interwoven patterns of stylized butterflies over stylized minimalist trees; Butterflies are in ruby read, dark lavender and mustard, using pixelated lines and shapes (see closeups). This style is overall more modern than traditional Japanese. Overall condition is excellent, like new: fabric is clean and there are no holes, tears nor stains; still intact and strong. Recommended for various creative projects, clothing or accessory design; Looks much better in person than we were able to capture in these pictures.
