This is a piece of silk blend kimono fabric taken from an unused roll, age estimated from the 70's-80's; background is light pink with interwoven field of chrysanthemums; Three bouquet clusters of various flowers in differing shades of orange to rusty red being dominant with smaller white flowers (plum and wisteria; also a decorative basket with cords. This is a higher quality silk,light-medium weight with soft drape; silk is not damask but has a very slight sheen to it; Interestingly, the motifs are printed on both sides, but the corresponding sides differ from each other, with the reverse being generally in more subdued tones. Recommended for artists and collectors of fine Japanese textiles, this piece could be used as part of a scarf, for display or for other creative applications. Condition: EXCELLENT, clean, no holes, stains or tears; deadstock (like new).
