This is an unusual piece of deadstock silk kimono fabric taken from an unused roll, age estimated from the 1960's-70's; The colors are pastells and fuzzy as if to mimic ikat (kasuri) weaving. Colors are gray with sine waves interlocking to create a grid of diamond shapes as well as symmetrical columns of spots (black, fuschia, mustard, pink), see close-ups.

This is a higher quality silk,light- weight with little drape as it still has a slight stiffness to it, as though it were just made; Patterns are the same on both sides.

Many possibilities for use of this fabric in creative projects.

Condition: EXCELLENT, clean, no holes, stains or tears; deadstock (like new).
