This is piece of light weight deadstock Japanese kimono fabric, cotton ( new but unsold stock) from the 1960's-70's; This is a diagonal grid pattern in black on white background; patterns same on both sides. This bears the name of a Sumotori, Sumo Wrestler named Chio-no-Fuji; often the Sumo stables will give out promotional gifts to supporters, this is probably what this was originally intended for. Condition: EXCELLENT, like new. Fabric still strong, like new, still slightly firm. Recommended for a variety of creative applications.
