This is a lovely piece of fine, light-weight silk from the 1960's taken from a lady's dress kimono; Silk is interwoven with many kinds of traditional flower motifs; Fabric background is slightly metallic looking grayish-dark lavender (with transitions to slightly lighter lavenders; Interesting in that the back has solid bokashi sort of coloring (gradation coloring); High quality fabric which is clean and has a nice drape.
Excellent condition: recommended for creative uses in making scarf, clothing accessory or even display.
A NOTE ABOUT COLORS:
Please remember that all computer monitors show colors somewhat differently. The remarkable subtlety and wide range of colors used in traditional Japanese fabrics are often difficult to capture in a small internet size photo. While rendered as best we can, we therefore, ask you to please be sure to note our text description of the colors to complement your view of them.
