US$195.00 This is a striking piece of heavily woven silk taken from a vintage maruobi (sash) made in the 1930's. Piece measures 12.5" X 4.4yds (31.75cm X 4.04m). Traditional motifs on both sides: Metallic Heavily Embroidered Piece From Maruobi:Ornate Phoenix, Temple, Country Scene, Pines, Chrysanthemums --over 9yds of useable embroidered fabric artwork. Colors: Very little of this piece is un-embroidered but what background there is is a creamy tan; Also has dominance of metallic glossy & burnished golds with rusty-browns as well as various darker shades of emerald green & blues, various light greens & lime tones;also various rust colors,whites and colors -- a splendid example of the 1930's Japanese workmanship in fabric art. Outstanding distinctive piece suitable for home or office decor, wear or for that special project or garment. Condition: EXCELLENT
