Description This is a piece of light weight deadstock cotton ( new but unsold stock) from the 1940's; Fabric is dyed so patterns are same on both sides; pattern is of alternating 9 inch horizontal bands of large peony flower, then diamond shaped blossom background in next band 9 inch band; plum blossoms in lighte pink extend across the different bands; The color is dark red with a slight hint of fuschia; Peonies are light purple to lavenders and blacks, yellow center; other colors are accents in white and light green. Condition: EXCELLENT.Fabric still strong, like new. |
