Description: This is a piece of deadstock (like new, unused stock) from the 1970's, a light-medium weight Japanese kimono cotton which measures 14 3/8" X 1.5yards; selvage is 1/8th inches on each side; This is a seersucker type fabric so is textured; This type fabric has vertical slightlyt ridged stripes as part of the weave so fabricis not smooth to the touch..See bottom of this section for information on seersucker fabrics. Colors: Mostly black with vertical striations(gives appearance of pattern which would be left by a brushstroke) in varying shades of burgundy and blues; Motifs:
Traditional Japanese design, small interlocked diamonds arranged in columns
which run horizontally;Same on both sides.
