Our Priorities in Replying to You & other details:
Just so you know, this is our order of priority for responding to your
emails:
- Catalog
Orders:
Secure page confirms with automated reply when secure order is
placed. We will follow up as soon as possible -- when in the office
-- to confirm availability of item.
- Notices
concerning order status, shipping schedules etc:
These are our first priority, answering within 24 hrs when
here. General shipping schedule and status is updated almost daily
in our Web Log (BLOG) page.
- Confirmation
of credit card purchases submitted through our secure page:
Orders submitted via our web site generate a message to you immediately
(automated message is generated from the secure server, usually
within the hour).

Requests for clarification on item descriptions:
When in the office, usually same day. (Email
is your best bet for this type of query).
- General
requests for information:
We
provide cultural and background information about the Japanese cultural
items we sell. As we are a commercial site and not an informational
site we sometimes cannot answer some questions right away.
In an effort to provide this information we have -- and upgrade
in an ongoing way -- a substantial FAQ
(Frequently Asked Questions) section about vintage and traditional
Japanese garments & textiles, etc. We also link to various experts
and informational sites in our E-neighbors
section. We answer all serious inquiries in our areas of expertise,
but sometimes take several days or more depending on the nature
of the request. We have a blog which we use to post information about our site, schedule etc. We also put interesting info & resources there as well. Click HERE to visit our blog.

Sorry, we no longer provide these. We once were affiliated
with Eppraisals.com but they are defunct. However, we can point
you in a good direction: For appraisals information please go

IV. Special
Orders:
We
will try to fill special requests but prefer to ask folks to first look
at what we have in our on-line catalog before contacting us. If we feel
we can possibly fill a request (no commitment on your part), we'll let
you know & put you in our "customer wish list", or, in some cases
offer you something we have on hand in inventory but not posted to the
web site.
