This is a deadstock bolt of finer quality cotton, brown plaid with mustard, burgundy and pale blues (see close-ups); This bolt was manufactured for use in making a tanzen, a padded kimono, usually the size of a haori (kimono jacket); It measures 14.25 inches (36.2cm) wide but we're not sure of exact yardage as we've left the bolt in its original case and bindings; Full length kimono bolts are usually 11m (12yds) so this should be at least 6-7yds; Fabric is a light-medium weight deadstock cotton (new but unsold stock) estimated from the 1960's.
