We are offering this fabric in minimum 14.25 inch X 1.5 yard (36.2cm X 1.37m) long pieces of light weight deadstock cotton (new but unsold stock) estimated from the 1960's; This cotton's design is indigo blue (almost black) and white with columns created by white stripes running vertically (lengthwise) which have waves design within the columns, plus the name Tachinami (literally: Standing Waves) placed diagonally across bars at intervals (see pics). This is a cotton originally was intended to be used to make summer kimono (called a yukata); Fabric is strong, like new, still firm; colors have not faded, looks as if it was made yesterday. Recommended for quilters or any variety of creative applications.
